How to Disable Pop-up Button

When you select a text with the mouse, you may notice a small floating button   next to the selected text. By default the ImTranslator button is enabled when you highlight the text for translation to bring up the Pop-up Bubble Translator. But it’s impossible to separate different tasks when you select the text. 1. With this in mind, we set the time interval of 3 seconds to “Show Translator’s button” in the Pop-up Bubble Options. After 3 seconds the ImTranslator button is fading.  You can change the time interval to display the button longer or shorter, if desired.   2.  If you wish to disable the ImTranslator floating button, simply clear the checkbox next to the “Show Translator’s button” option and Save the new settings. Display Detected Language

The detected language is not displayed in the Bubble Translator due to the lack of space. To see which language has been detected, choose ANY language from the source language list. The automatic language detection will be is instantly performed, and the language will be switched to the DETECTED language.   Make sure that the “Detect source language automatically” checkbox is enabled in Pop-up Bubble Options. 2. If you want to keep this language for future translations, lock the source language by marking the checkbox next to the displayed language.  This will temporarily disable the automatic language detection. Language Detection: Question you didn’t ask.

What question you didn’t ask?  WHY ImTranslator HAS DUPLICATE LANGUAGE DETECTION OPTION? You may notice the “DETECT LANGUAGE” item in the source language list in all translation applications, which is set as default after the initial ImTranslator’s installation. There is also “DETECT SOURCE LANGUAGE AUTOMATICALLY” item in Options for each translation application.   HERE IS THE EXPLANATION The language detection feature is a very sophisticated mechanism.  When you use “Detect language” in the the source language, it does a good language detection job for large portions of texts. But there may be cases when the language detection tool doesn’t recognize the language correctly especially for languages of the same language group, loan-words or short text.   If you work with the Dictionary or with a pair of languages with the English language, the “automatic language detection” does a more advanced job....
